Mr. Sullivan was the Attorney General of Alaska during Mr. Jack’s two trials and responsible for conduct within the Juneau District Attorney’s office which violated Mr. Jack’s constitutional rights. As the Attorney General, Mr. Sullivan was not only under oath to uphold the Alaska Constitution and to promote the administration of justice but had a duty to ensure that all prosecutors beneath him upheld their oaths as well.
In September of 2020 Mr. Sullivan was notified of his role in the wrongful conviction of Mr. Jack. So far he has not acknowledged his responsibility to make amends. Any Alaskans connected to Mr. Sullivan should bring Mr. Jack’s situation to the forefront of his thoughts and urge him to do everything in his power to restore justice.
